Hello and welcome to Natural Hazards Group. We are a company that investigates natural hazards—volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, landslides, and floods are just a few examples—and their ecological and socioeconomic effects across the globe. Since 1989, our database covering all kinds of natural upheaval from five million years ago until today has grown to become one of the most extensive in the world. We feel that long series of observations are vital to our understanding of the impacts and cyclicities of nature's own processes. Lacking this longer time perspective will seriously flaw assessments of man's impact on nature.

We will advise companies, governments, government agencies, NGOs and others who wish to know, how their businesses and expenses can be affected negatively and positively by nature’s processes. We set ourselves apart by also pointing out positive effects of nature’s processes.

In 2007 we are in charge of Earthquake, Mud volcano, Volcano and Tsunami education when the Swedish Rescue Services Agency hosts the "NATO/PfP Course on International Environmental Disaster Operations" in Sweden. We have had the same responsibility when the course was given in Sweden in 2003, 2004, 2005, and in Romania in 2006.

You will find more information about us and our work in the following pages, where you will also see how to contact us. We hope that you will find it worthwhile.
